The North-West Coast will play a bigger role in the next edition of Targa Tasmania in April next year.
This year’s event was postponed to October and then cancelled due to delays in the review prompted by four fatalities over two events in 2021 and 2022.
However, plans are going ahead for the re-booted event, which will see two overnight stops in Devonport and four of the event’s five new stages on the Coast.
Targa lunch stops will also be held at Latrobe on Day One and Penguin on Day Three and Day Four.
The four new Coastal stages will all be held on Day Four at Gentle Annie, near Forth, Preston, a stage named River Leven, which will start at Gunns Plains and finish on Preston Road, and a new stage at Calder.
The event will also have a new stage in the South near Dover on the final day of competition.
