Multi-national E-scooter company Beam will clock up its 10th million ride in Australia on Wednesday.
Beam’s distinctive purple scooters were first introduced to Australia in 2019 in Adelaide, with more than 10,000 scooters now in it’s fleets, including hundreds in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie.
The Burnie fleet, of 150 scooters is currently in a winter recess following a 12-month trial, with Beam saying services will resume once weather the improves during spring.
Meanwhile, the Devonport City Council has approved a trial of Beam scooters on the city’s shared walking and cycling tracks on the foreshore and Don Reserve, also due to commence when the weather improves.
