Tasmania Police has provided details of the arrest and charging of a 16-year-old girl from Southern Tasmania, accused of assaults on their officers.
It’s claimed the girl kicked and pulled the hair of cops in Hobart’s CBD on June 14, and also pushed an officer and kicked another in the leg in a disturbance in Liverpool Street on Monday.
Bail offences are included in the charges against the teenager.
“Behaviour such as this won’t be tolerated by Tasmania Police,” said Inspector John Toohey.
“We will continue to target anti-social and criminal behaviour and where appropriate, necessary and authorised by law, we will be charging those who offend, and putting them before a Magistrate.”
