Latrobe has been confirmed as the venue for the biggest day of the year for Coastal football, the NWFL grand final, on September 21st.
There was some concern upgrades to facilities at the Latrobe Recreation Ground may not bet completed by the end if the football season, but it’s now been confirmed it will be finished on time.
Work on the $1.5 million project is being funded through a Federal Election promise, along with equal contributions from the State Government and Latrobe Council, includes upgrades to Latrobe Football Club changerooms, grandstands, and the Latrobe Federal Bandrooms.
Latrobe has hosted the NWFL grand final since 1992.
The NWFL will announce venues for the rest of the finals series in coming weeks.
The final round of roster games will be played on August 24th, with finals to commence on August 31st.
