The State Government has revealed the site for the new Devonport campus of the North West Support School.
The school will be built on land adjacent to the Spreyton Primary School on Mersey Main Road.
The site is currently occupied by the Devon Netball Centre, which will re-locate to the new $60 million Devonport Sports Precinct, when it is completed.
Education Minister Jo Palmer says the site was chosen after extensive community consultation, receiving more than 300 submissions on proposed sites.
The State Government also called for tenders to design $3 million in upgrades to the Burnie campus of the school, which will include a hydrotherapy pool.
Last year after considerable public backlash, the Government abandoned plans to consolidate the two campuses on a single site at Penguin.
