The elite field for this Sunday’s Burnie 10 will be one worthy of the 40th edition of the event, with a quality field for both men and women.

The men’s elite field includes 12 runners who have run sub-30-minute 10km times, while the women’s elite field boasts 11 runners who have run better than 35 minutes for the same distance.

Irish national 5000m record-holder Brian Fay will make his 10km road running debut, but has a 10,000m track personal best of 27 mins and 43 secs, which is equal to the Burnie 10 race record, in what will be his first race since the Paris Olympics.
