The Ulverstone parade will be followed by carols at the sound shell.

Latrobe will have its community Christmas party and carols event at Bells Parade from 5.30 pm.

There’s been no Christmas parade at Latrobe since the pandemic, with a lack of volunteers since, but there’s been calls on social media to bring it back.

Latrobe Mayor Peter Freshney says the council is willing to work with the community to see the parade return.

Festivities will continue on Sunday with community barbecue and carols at Port Sorell from 4.30 pm, carols in Hiscutt Park at Penguin at 5.30, and the Turners Beach Community Christmas Party from 10-4.
