The State Government will provide $1.2 million to develop new walking tracks around the Dial Range, South of Penguin.
Work on the first stage of the Dial Range Loop is expected to start soon, with Tasmanian contractor Next Level Mountain, engaged to construct five new sections of track from Mount Montgomery to Mount Dial.
Patrks Minister Nick Duigan says the tracks will vary in both distance and difficulty, providing multiple ways to explore the area.
The Mount Dial walking track will be 2km long and feature steps, a benched track and a 15m bridge.
Other stages will include an all-access boardwalk along McBrides Creek in the Ferndene Reserve and a walking track from the summit of Mount Dial to Mount Gnoman.
Central Coast Mayor Cheryl Fuller is welcoming the development, saying the area was an incredible and understated highlight of the North-West Coast.
