Police investigations are continuing into the death of a 28 year-old Devonport man who was hit by a car on the Bass highway near Prospect on Saturday night.
Police and emergency services were called to the scene around 10pm following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a Mercedes-Benz heading West.
The man was declared deceased at the scene.
Specialised police investigators and forensics officers attended the crash scene and are investigating the circumstances of the crash and death.
Police are appealing for members of the public who observed a pedestrian on the highway prior to the crash, or the manner of driving of the Mercedes-Benz, or who have relevant dash cam footage, to contact them on 131 444.
