Christmas is great, but this is Christmas Day for fans of Cricket. The Boxing Day clash is finally upon us and what a treat it is for it to be an Ashes Test this year. Below are all the details you need to know about the day, including where and how to watch it.

If you’re planning on going to the Boxing Day test at all, then sadly I got bad news. Day one and day two of the test have already completely sold out with limited seating left for day three. If however the game goes on to days four and five (which would be nice) you might still be able to jag tickets.

The game is taking place at the MCG in Victoria and this year will see Australia face-off against England in the fourth ashes test. The Boxing Day test is easily the biggest day in the cricketing calendar for Australia and the fact that this years game will have Australia face-off against our oldest rivals will easily set the stage for a dramatic match. Last year saw much dramatic action with the Border-Gavaskar Trophy match taking place. In this match Australia went out to bat on the first day and sent out debutant Sam Konstas who carried out an astonishing first batting innings. Scoring the first test six against the current world’s best fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, and earned a score of 60 off 65 balls. With a lot of the series and pre-series media covering the shaky Australian batting order, it’ll be interesting to see if the Boxing Day test can bring out some fire like it did for Sam Konstas.

The first ball will be bowled at 10:30am (AEDT) on the 26th of December. The game can be streamed online via Kayo or through the 7Plus app.
