One Night Out in New York

Charlie Puth has explained why he stopped drinking alcohol. He says one big night out helped him realise it was time to change. Four years ago, Puth was living in New York City and preparing to release his album, Charlie. To celebrate, he went out partying and later called it a “rager”.

The Morning After

The next morning didn’t feel so fun. Puth woke up with the worst hangover he had ever had. It lasted almost two days and left him feeling unwell. He also saw photos from the night. Many showed him with people he didn’t even know. That made him feel uncomfortable and unsure about his choices.

Time to Reflect

The group planned to get coffee the next day, but Puth chose to walk back to his hotel alone. He stayed there for a few days and spent time thinking. That quiet moment changed things for him. He realised alcohol was no longer right for his life.
