Tasmania’s government’s encouraging applications from tourism businesses to access a share of $250,000 for installing electric vehicle charging ports.
$2500 will be granted for each charger, with a maximum of four per business.
Kim Robinson from Devonport accommodation business The Cove Tasmania switched to EV infrastructure with help from a previous government grant.
“We like our guests to be able to relax, they plug their car in, not have to worry about having to find some charging the following day, people in our restaurant they are there for a couple of hours they might top up.”
