Variety Tasmania raises $151,000 for local kids

Local children’s charity Variety Tasmania has raised $151,000 for local kids at its annual Variety of Chefs Gala.

Variety Tasmania CEO Mohammad Aldergham said the funds would make a tangible difference at a time when more families are turning to Variety for help.

“Saturday night showed just how powerful the Tasmanian community can be when people come together for a shared purpose.”

The event featured a four-course menu from chefs Paul Foreman, Karen Jones of Derwent Estate, Luciano Pasa of Wrest Point and Stefan Schröeder of Mures Tasmania, as well as performances from young Tasmanian artists Lily Gatehouse and Morgan Bannister, alongside the Royal Australian Navy Band Tasmania.
