Latrobe Council has issued a notice to Firmus Technologies over a possible breach at the proposed Data Center site in Wesley Vale.
Council is concerned that some of the works being undertaken at Mill Road may be occurring beyond the scope of the approved Forest Practices Plan, handing the company a notice of intention to issue an enforcement notice.
Firmus, the company behind the yet to be approved 52 megawatt center has agreed to down tools as Council conducts assessments but says the work is within the scope of maintenance.

Firmus has also announced plans to build a separate research and development facility in Wesley Vale which will undergo its own approval process.
