What happens is my scheduled day falls on a public holiday?
Devonport Childcare Centre’s do not charge for public holidays.
Do I still need to pay for a scheduled day if my child is sick?
Unfortunately, if your child is sick and away from the centre, full fee still applies as the staffing roster for the week has already been formalised according to the bookings. This is standard Long Day Care practice.
What happens when we go on holidays?
We require seven (7) days’ notice to place a booking on hold due to holidays. It will then be charged at half fee in order to hold the spot.
How much notice do I have to give to cancel my permanent booking?
Seven (7) days’ notice is required when cancelling child care.
What if my child becomes sick or has an accident at the centre?
If a child becomes unwell at the centre the educators will call you. Sometimes you will be asked to come and collect your child as these are times that they really need you. We understand it can be difficult if you are working.
What government rebates and benefits are available?
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a payment offered by the Australian Government for which you may be eligible. Before you commence child care, contact Centrelink and provide them with your details and the name of your nominated child care provider. Centrelink will then calculate your percentage (if eligible) of CCS you are entitled to. This will be deducted from our daily fee leaving you with a ‘gap’ balance to pay each day.
