An exhibition with a difference is currently on show at Hive in Ulverstone.

Part of the Breadtag Project, the exhibition includes work by New South Wales based artist and project founder Shani Nottingham, with sculptures and objects made using more than a million plastic bread bag tags.

Ms Nottingham is also summer artist in residence at Hive until this Saturday, running a series of workshops.

The programme will conclude on Saturday with a free public talk at 2 pm.

The Breadtag Project started in 2018 and is now a global movement with bread tags saved from landfill and sent to Ms Nottingham from all over the world.

She uses them to create art installations and raise awareness about the environmental impact of single-use plastics.

The Central Coast Council has joined the project and is asking the community to collect bread tags and drop them into Hive.
