Top 10 Games of 2019

Over the last year I've been lucky to review some of the gaming industries biggest titles and some smaller gems that are truly outstanding.

That being said, It's been a year where we've seen some notable flops as well. Games like "Anthem" were highly anticipated and although not a terrible game, it was met by a terrible reception.

There seemed to also be way too many "remakes", "remasters" and general "re" this year. It's my hope that we'll see some more original content in 2020.

But enough of that, we want to focus on the games that came out this year that are worthy of praise and here is a Top 10 list of the "must play titles of 2019".

10. Mortal Kombat 11 - A fighting game that delivered everything that was promised, some would say more than. It's graphic and fast and lives up to the amazing franchise. They even did a really nice Terminator tie in.

09: Star Wars: JEDI Fallen Order - A wonderful journey back into the Star Wars IP with great acting "Uncharted in Space"

08. Control - Not much was known about this game prior to release but word caught on quickly and it is some peoples number one game this year.

07. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint -  The most tactical shooter released this year and cut scenes that will make you feel.

06. Pokemon Sword & Shield - A new take on the Pokemon that uses a familiar format with updated graphics and an interesting storyline.

05. Rage 2 - A first person shooter that's a little Borderlands a little Doom and a whole lot of chaotic fun.

04. A Plague Tale: Innocence - Unique and inspiring, this is a must play game. It's a dash of action adventure with a pinch of horror stealth.

03. Untitled Goose Game - If you don't think this should be on the list, then you probably haven't played it. It's dumb fun and brilliant at the same time.

02. Borderlands 3 - Amazing story, Amazing graphics and violent fun on alien planets. Some of the bosses were actually challenging and a great return to this massive world.

01. The Outer Worlds - The best Fallout Game in years, and it's not even Fallout. This comedic romp through a retro-space styled universe. This title didn't get as much praise as it deserved, but it's easily my favourite of the year.

Was there a game you loved that was released this year that didn't make the list?

Tell us in the comments, try to change my mind ;)
