Stanley’s Bicentenary – 200 Years of European Settlement
Stanley will mark 200 years of European settlement with a weekend of community events, local history and activities across the town, from Friday the 30th of October to Monday the 2nd of November 2026.
The program begins on Friday evening with a screening of The Light Between Oceans at Stanley Town Hall. Saturday will feature activities at Stanley Recreation Ground, including a parade, followed by a bush dance at the Town Hall.
A free open day is planned for Sunday, with further activities continuing across the long weekend.
The bicentenary is being coordinated by the Stanley Discovery Museum. More information and the full event program will be shared as it becomes available.
