Walk the Talk – Zonta Club of Devonport
| Join Zonta Club of Devonport, Inner Wheel Australia, and the Soroptimist Club of Devonport, Sunday November 26 in a walk to end family violence. Coming together from 11.00am, we will begin our walk from 11.30am, walking from Devonport Cenotaph to the mouth of the Mersey River (Aitkenhead point) to raise awareness that family violence is not ok. We are going to hear the voices of two women, representing The Advocates for Change and have come to generously share parts of their stories. This event is part of the 16 Days of Activism: where communities around the world join the call to prevent and eliminate violence against women and girls. This year, 2023, the theme is unite. A sausage sizzle will follow (gold coin donation). Funds raised go to Warrawee Women’s Shelter. There will be a coffee van available at Aitkenhead Point, selling coffees and snacks from 10.30am |
