1,042 Covid-19 cases pop up overnight

Tasmania has recorded 1,042 new cases of Covid-19 overnight.

Recoveries are continuing to outpace new infections, with 7,267 active cases being monitored across the state.

3,785 of those cases are active in the State’s South, another 1,838 in the North.

There are 1,393 active cases across the North West.

629 people are using the COVID@Homeplus program.

158 people are in hospital with Coronavirus, 44 of those patients being treated specifically for symptoms.

Three Covid-positive patients are being cared for in the ICU.

Tasmania’s Coronavirus death toll has climbed to 137 since the start of the pandemic.
