Tasmania has recorded another 178 new Coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours.
The figures are a drop from yesterday’s 208 cases and 309 the day before.
30 people are in hospital with Covid-19 statewide, 12 of those patients being treated specifically for symptoms.
One Covid-positive patient is in the public ICU.
180 people are using the COVID@Homeplus program.
Public Health is monitoring 1,487 active cases statewide, 714 of those found in the South of the State.
177 Tasmanians have passed away from Covid-19 since the pandemic began.
The current risk of Covid-19 in the community is moderate.
Premier Jeremy Rockliff is reminding Tasmanians of the importance of reporting positive test results.
Locals who test positive for Coronavirus can register your test here, or by calling the Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738 to ensure you have access to COVID@homeplus if you require it, as well as access to anti-viral medications if you are eligible.
In the meantime, Public Health has recommended wearing a mask in all indoor public places and on public transport, and in other settings, if you can’t physically distance.
Masks must still be worn in all our public hospitals.
