Devonport residents, businesses and visitors are being asked for their input into a plan to reduce the speed limit in the Devonport CBD to 40 km/hr.
The current limit of 50 km/hr will be reduced in areas of Stewart, King, Rooke, Edward, Best, and Fenton Streets, along with Formby Road for a trial period.
Devonport Mayor Allison Jarman says studies have revealed CBD traffic is generally moving well below 50 km/hr in most cases already.

Feedback can be provided via the Speak Up Devonport platform on the council’s website, with submissions closing on January 10th.
