Meanwhile, Devonport’s waterfront parklands, the Paranaple Centre and Market Square will be ablaze with colour and sound from Saturday night as the city stages the inaugural Luminocity Festival.

The event will run from July 22nd to 30th and will feature artworks projected onto buildings which are either static, animated or augmented reality.

The augmented reality artworks will come to life when viewed using a smart phone or tablet.

A map of locations will be available on the Devonport Events Facebook page and the Devonport Jazz Festival website later this week, with the Jazz Festival starting next Thursday.
