The accused killer of Burnie teenager Shyanne Lee Tatnell is expected to make an appearance in court next month for preliminary proceedings before his case goes to the supreme court.
37 year-old Scottsdale man Christopher Mark Jordan, has been charged with one count of murder.
Jordan appeared in the Launceston Magistrate’s Court earlier this week via video link from Risdon Prison, where he has been for more than a year.
His lawyer, Devonport barrister Greg Richardson, told the court he has now received full disclosure police evidence and will travel to Risdon Prison to see his client ahead of preliminary proceedings on November 12th
Preliminary proceedings allow defence lawyers to examine witnesses in the Crown case before it goes to the Supreme Court.
Jordan has pleaded not guilty to killing the teenager after she disappeared from Henry Street in Launceston on April 30th last year.
Her remains were found in bushland at Nabowla, about 15 km West of Scottsdale, in the state’s North-East in July last year, almost three months after she was last seen.
