Day 1 of Agfest is now underway at Quercus Park.
Organisers are hoping more than 60,000 visitors will make their way through the gates over the next four days at Tasmania’s premier field days.
Close to 500 exhibitors have set up displays, with everything from tractors, chainsaws, boats and food on offer.
The good news is the forecast for the next four days is for little to no rain.
Agfest chairman Caine Evans has paid tribute to all the hard work put in by Rural Youth and all the workers and volunteers who’ve made this year’s event happen.
“The amount of work that has gone in to putting this year’s event on is extraordinary,” he said.
“This has been months in the planning and actually putting together.”
Those visiting the event are being asked to make use of the biosecurity stations and wear a mask in crowded areas.
The event is expected to return to its usual May schedule next year.
