Award to recognise youth service and achievement

Nominations are open from today for the North-West Coast’s Inspiring Youth Awards.

The awards are run by Youth Family and Community Connections, or YFCC, in three categories for quiet achiever, grate mate and high five categories.

Nomination are open for young people aged between 13 and 20 who are making a difference in the community.

More than 50 nominations were received from all over the Coast last year, with this year’s awards to be presented at the Paranaple Centre in Devonport on September 9th.

Youth Family and Community Services operates youth hubs in Devonport and Burnie, along with accommodation services, alcohol, tobacco and other drugs support in Devonport, Burnie and Smithton, as well as family support, youth support, emergency relief services, and employment services along the Coast.
