Wild weather on Saturday evening forced the cancellation of the Spirit of Tasmania 1 service between Devonport and Geelong.
The ship also needed assistance from TasPorts tugs to safely enter the Mersey River on Saturday morning.
Passengers affected by the evening cancellation were offered overnight accommodation on the vessel, with the ship leaving Devonport at 7.30 am on Sunday morning.
Consequently, last night’s sailing from Geelong to Devonport has been rescheduled for tonight.
Meanwhile, Spirit of Tasmania 2, which has been in dry dock in Sydney for scheduled maintenance for the past two weeks, left Sydney over the weekend and and arrived in Devonport on Monday morning.
TT-Line says both vessels will operate double sailings on Monday to clear any backlog of passengers, vehicles and freight.
