Entries are starting to roll in for this month’s Strait Link Burnie Ten community fun run on October 29th.
Event director Richard Welsh says entries are up around 32 per cent more than for the same time last year and on course to see its biggest field since the pandemic.
2021 women’s winner Caitlin Adams has re-entered using the event as part of her build-up to a hopeful Olympic games berth next year in the 5000 metres.
Adams recently finished 12th in the 5km event at the world road running championships in Latvia with an impressive time of 15 minutes and 46 seconds.
The 26 year-old also contested the world 10km cross country championships this year and finished third Aussie home.
