A new survey has revealed the Variety Club Tasmania school breakfast clubs are making a positive impact in Tasmanian schools, driving improvements in attendance, engagement, and academic rates across participating schools.

The Variety School Breakfast Club was first established in 2022, with funds raised by the annual TasBash rally and other events and has continued to show improvement across a range of learning outcomes, with teachers reporting an 86 per cent increase in engagement and 52 per cent increase in attendance since its inception.

The programme now services 26 schools across the state, including East Ulverstone, Forth and Montello Primary Schools on the North-West Coast, along with Zeehan Primary and Rosebery District High School on the West Coast.
