Two North-West basketballers have been named in the Australian Emus team for the Under 19 Men’s Basketball World Cup in Switzerland in July.
Smithton teenagers Jacob Furphy and Nash Walker have been included in the squad to undertake a training camp at the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence at the Australian Sports Institute in Canberra next month.
Furphy and Walker have both played for the Smithton Saints in the NWBU and with either the North West Thunder or the Centre of Excellence team in the NBL-1 South conference competition.

The pair has also previously worn the green and gold on numerous occasions in junior and underage competition.
