35 dedicated North-West Coasters will brave the winter cold tonight and sleep out in the elements to raise awareness and funds for homelessness.
Next week is National Homelessness Week and tonight’s eighth annual Vinnies Community Sleep-Out in Burnie aims to shine a light on the issue.
The event will be held in the quadrangle of the Marist Regional College and although the event is full to capacity, people can still drop by and make a donation, or donate on-line through the Try Booking website or the Family Based Care Facebook page.
Event co-ordinator Doug Doherty says funds raised will go towards Vinnies homelessness and welfare programmes across the North-West Coast.
