The North-West Coast will be alive with festivals and events again this weekend.
The Don River Railway will start its 50th anniversary celebrations on Friday and continue throughout the weekend, while the HCI Burnie International Tennis Tournament will get underway on Sunday with qualifying rounds ahead of Tuesday’s main draw matches.
Burnie’s Shorewell Park will host the Summerfest on Friday, while Rockin’ By The River starts at Lovetts Flats near Sassafras today and runs all weekend.
Sunday will also see the Devonport Kite Festival and Teddy Bear Drop at Meercroft Park in Devonport.
The Teddy Bear Drop sees hundreds of sponsored bears dropped from a helicopter with prizes for the nearest to the target.
The event, run by Devonport Rotary will run from 11 am to 3 pm.
