Childcare centres on the North-West Coast are ranked among the best in the state, according to an analysis of 17,000 childcare centres around Australia by child care app KindiCare.
KindiCare gave centres a score out of 10, and although many ranked highly, the data also showed one in 16 centres were also under-performing.
Four Coastal centres were ranked in the Tasmanian top 10, with Launceston’s Green Leaves Early Learning Centre topping the table with a score of 9.6, rating it in the outstanding category.
Smithton’s Giggles Early Learning Centre was ranked fourth and also included in the outstanding category, with a rating of 9.5.
Discovery Learning Centre at Ulverstone, Milpara Early Learning Centre in Burnie, and the Alexander Beetle House Children’s Centre were ranked eighth, ninth, and 10th respectively, all given scores of 9.2, landing them in the excellent category.
