The Devonport City Council has released its four-year draft parking strategy for community feedback.
The strategy was last updated in 2016, with the new version to go through to 2028.
The draft was developed in consultation with a working group and incorporating feedback received from a community survey earlier this year, which drew around 350 respondents.
33% of respondents said it is difficult to find parking when visiting the Devonport CBD, 66% have used the multi-level carpark, and 80% have used the Easy Park smartphone app to pay for parking.
Devonport Mayor Alison Jarman says the strategy will ensure parking within Devonport is managed in a balanced and sustainable way and is user friendly.
Feedback on the draft strategy can be made on the Speak Up Devonport page on the council’s website, with submissions closing on July 19th.
