The hottest ticket on the North-West Coast this month could also be the coolest.
More than 5000 tickets for sessions at the Summer on Ice temporary ice skating rink at the Ulverstone Wharf Precinct have ready been sold ahead of the attraction opening tomorrow, with many coming from outside the North-West Coast.
The 10m x 25 metre artificial rink will operate from tomorrow though to Boxing Day, excluding Christmas Day, and is being promoted a family friendly and suitable for anyone aged four and upwards.
Central Coast Mayor Cheryl Fuller says the sessions will take on a festive atmosphere with a wide range of children’s activities, food vendors, live music and events.
The facility also includes a curling lane for anyone wanting to try their hand at the quirky Winter Olympic sport.
