Up to 10,000 chocolate lovers from all over the State are expected to converge on Latrobe on Sunday for the town’s annual Chocolate Winterfest.
The event will run from 10.30 am to 3 pm, with 40 chocolate-themed activities at 30 venues in and around Latrobe.
A highlight of the event is the Chocolate Wonders of Wearable Art competition, which carries a $500 prize.
Entries have adorned shop fronts in Latrobe’s main street, Gilbert Street, with the public able to scan a QR code and vote for the people’s choice award.
Latrobe Mayor Peter Freshney says it’s a guilt-free Sunday and with the main street likely to be teaming with people, he’s encouraging visitors take advantage of the free shuttle buses.
