Summing up in the trial of two men accused of murdering Sprent man Dean Jupp in 2022 is expected to start in the Burnie Supreme Court next week.
Dane Ronald Pyke and Blaise Christopher Baddely have both pleaded not guilty to the murder of Mr Jupp at his Chillcott’s Road property.
The court has previously heard the pair, another man and a woman travelled to Mr Jupps property on the day he died to steal guns.
ACM reports Pyke has given evidence saying he had no idea who injured Mr Jupp.
Pyke told the jury he was looking for the keys to Mr Jupp’s gun safe, but denied have inflicted any injuries on the victim.
Justice Tamara Jago told the jury all the evidence in the case had now been presented.
She adjourned the trial until Monday, saying she expected summing up from the prosecution and defence would be lengthy and could take several days.
Her honour said she expected the jury would be sent out to deliberate towards the end of next week.
