Towns on the West and North-West Coasts have dominated this year’s Tassie’s Top Tourist Towns Awards.
Devonport has been judged top town for populations over 5000, with Stanley picking up the tiny town award for populations of less than 1500 for the second time in three years, having also won the same category in 2021.
Meanwhile, Queenstown has won the small town category for populations of between 1500 and 5000, with the West Coast again shining after Strahan won the tiny town category last year.
The awards are staged annually by the Tourism Industry Council of Tasmania, with winners determined by a public vote.
Devonport, Queenstown and Stanley are now in the running for the QANTAS Australian Tourism Awards in September.
