A number of parks and reserves across the Coast remain closed until fallen trees and other damage from the weekend’s wild weather can be cleared and tracks made safe again.

The popular Don Reserve walking track in Devonport is closed until further notice, as is the nearby Kelcey Tier trail network.

Fern Glade Reserve in Burnie is also closed due to flooding and fallen trees, while a fallen tree has also forced the closure of the popular Romain Reserve walkway in Burnie.

The Wild Mersey Mountain Bike Network between Sheffield and Latrobe is also closed.

Council Facebook pages have updated information on closures to parks, reserves and tracks.

People are being advised to stay away from closed tracks and reserves and creating problems for already busy emergency services.
