The North-West Coast Penguin Rehab and Release group has put the call out for volunteers.
Although based in Burnie, the group looks after sick or injures penguins and other seabirds from right along the Coast.
A volunteer information evening will be held at the Cradle Coast Authority building in Burnie next Wednesday from 6-7.30 pm
The group is a Landcare Tasmania community group dedicated to the rehabilitation of seabirds with the aim of preparing them for successful release back into the wild.
The North-West Coast is home to some of Tasmania’s largest little penguin rookeries, with colonies at Lillico Beach, West Beach in Burnie and also at Stanley.
