Police are continuing investigations after a Summerhill man was assaulted and had his car stolen during an alleged carjacking in Launceston on the weekend.
The 27-year-old was parked at Freeland’s Reserve at Trevallyn around 1.30pm on Saturday afternoon when it’s alleged two men parked him in.
One of the men then allegedly struck him through a window, before he was forced out of his 2002 Nissan Patrol which was taken.
Police say both men were armed at the time.
Both men are described as being in their 20s. One of the men has tattoos on his face and was wearing dark track pants, a beanie and sunglasses at the time.
One of the alleged offenders was driving a green Mitsubishi Magna.
