Fans of Hobart’s popular trans-Derwent ferry service will welcome news Saturday services will return next summer.
The weekend sailing proved a winner before it wrapped up earlier this year.
Transport Minister Michael Ferguson says he’s looking forward to the Albanese Government following through on its $20 million pledge for additional ferry terminals.
“The Tasmanian Liberal Government looks forward to working closely with the Federal Government on its election promise of $20 million for additional ferry terminals. I hope to see this promise
honoured in the October budget,” said Transport Minister Michael Ferguson.
“We’ve already started working closely with the Greater Hobart councils to examine the viability of extending services to additional locations on the river.”
