The Cancer Council Tasmania has put the call out for communities or organisations wanting to host their own relay 4 Life event.
While major relay events will e held at Penguin in March next year, along with Launceston, Triabunna, Hobart and Huonville, there’s scope for smaller-scale events around the state.
The Cancer Council says relays don’t have to be a 20-hour overnight event and can go for as few as six hours and involve between 100 and 200 participants raising around $20,000.
The cancer Council is urging and communities organisations who may be able to run a small-scale relay to get in touch to find out how the charity can assist and support their event
