A retired Smithton man is Tasmania’s newest millionaire after winning $3.7 million in Saturday night’s Tattslotto draw.
As his ticket wasn’t registered, the man didn’t know he was a winner until he checked his ticket at the Smithton Newsagency, where the ticket was purchased last week.
The Smithton man wasn’t the only Tattslotto division one winner from Tasmania at the weekend, with three-person syndicate from Lindisfarne on Hobart’s Eastern Shore, also winning $3.7 million.
The latest Coastal windfall follows wins in the past week from a Wynyard woman winning $100,000 on an instant Scratch-It, and a Launceston woman scratching $25,000 from a ticket purchased at the Shearwater IGA.
