Tasmanians will now be receiving Covid-19 updates weekly, under new changes to national reporting rules.
This move has been agreed to by state and territory Health Ministers and applies across all state and territory governments.
This has also been supported by Chief Health Officers in each jurisdiction.
The Department of Health will continue to alert Tasmanians to any COVID-related developments of concern.

Meanwhile, the risk of Covid-19 in the community is now Low to Moderate, in the wake of falling Coronavirus figures.
176 new cases have been recorded in the past 24 hours.
21 Covid-positive patients are in hospital statewide, six of those patients are being treated specifically for Coronavirus symptoms.
One person is being cared for in the ICU.
89 patients are using the COVID@homeplus program.
Public Health is monitoring 912 active cases, 451 of those can be found in the SOUTH.
The toll of the pandemic stands at 182.
Premier Jeremy Rockliff is reminding Tasmanians of the importance of reporting positive test results.
Locals who test positive for Coronavirus can register your test here, or by calling the Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738 to ensure you have access to COVID@homeplus if you require it, as well as access to anti-viral medications if you are eligible.
In the meantime, Public Health has recommended wearing a mask in all indoor public places and on public transport, and in other settings, if you can’t physically distance.
Masks must still be worn in all our public hospitals.
