Tasmania has recorded four more COVID linked deaths in the past 24 hours.
A man and a women in their 80s in the North-West, a man in his 70s in the North, and a man in his 60s in the South of the State have all passed away.
Their deaths take the state’s toll to 156 since the pandemic began.
Premier Jeremy Rockliff has expressed his condolences to their families, friends, and loved ones.
Public Health is reporting 527 new infections in the past 24 hours.
83 Covid-positive people are in hospital, 24 of those patients are being treated specifically for symptoms.
One people are being cared for in the ICU.
415 people are using the COVID@Homeplus program.
Active case figures have dropped from 4,742 to 4,604 over the past day, with more than 236,000 Tasmanians recovering from Covid-19.
2,492 of those cases can be found in Tasmania’s South, with over 2,000 spread across the North and North West.
Public Health has strongly recommended wearing a mask in all indoor public places and on public transport, and in other settings, if you can’t physically distance.
Masks must still be worn in all our public hospitals.
