The skies over the Mersey Bluff in Devonport will be nothing short of colourful on Sunday for the annual Devonport Kite Festival and Teddy Bear Drop.
Dozens of kite enthusiasts from all over the state will descend on Meercroft Park opposite the Bluff from 11 am, with live music, entertainment and food on site.
The charity Teddy Bear Drop will see hundreds of colourful Teddy bears dropped from a helicopter with prizes for nearest to the target.

Funds raised from the sale of bears will aid Rotary medical research projects.
Event co-ordinator Tony Reid says the event’s been going for almost 20 years.
