The Burnie City Council has released the final draft of an Urban Plan is says will transform the Burnie City Centre into a vibrant and engaging place to work, live, shop and socialise.
The council held co-design workshops with community members in August, with feedback incorporated into the final draft, which is open for further feedback.
The council says the plan includes a video presentation with the key changes incorporated from previous feedback.
The vidoe can be viewed on the council’s website, with feedback closing on February 2nd.
Meanwhile, the council has applied for funding to bring the plan to life under the Federal Government’s Regional Precincts and Partnerships Programme.
The programme allows for applications of between $500,000 and $5 million.
The council has made three applications under the programme and is also lobbying the major political parties in the lead-up to this year’s Federal election.
