Work has started on a new walking track connecting Godfrey’s Beach at Stanley to The Nut.
Parks Minister Nick Duigan says it’s all part of the State Government’s $2.3 million commitment over four years to improve safety and accessibility at the reserve.
Mr Duigan says the project will deliver a new walking track running parallel to Browns Road and follows the curve f the hill to The Nut carpark.
The project is part of a birader plan to enhance the visitor experience at The Nut, including investigating the feasibility of a walking track connecting The Nut carpark to the Stanley Wharf precinct and installing a new cantilevered viewing platform.
More than 50,000 people visit The Nut every year.
