Witnesses sought over reckless driving incident on the Coast

Tasmania Police is asking for witnesses to come forward following a dangerous driving incident in the north west on Monday.

They say at about 9.30am, a grey Ford Territory allegedly drove out of a service station at Burnie and travelled onto the Bass Highway on the wrong side of the road towards oncoming traffic.

Police have confiscated the vehicle for a three-month period and charged the 18-year-old woman who was allegedly driving with reckless driving, driving under the influence of an illicit substance, learner driver unaccompanied, and drug-possession related offences.
